Day 01: Chennai Arrival
On day 01 of South India Temple Experience Tour, arrive at Chennai airport where our representative welcomes you and escorts you to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 02: Chennai – Mahabalipuram – Chennai
Today we take you on a full day excursion to Mahabalipuram, a must visit for an authentic South India temple experience. After breakfast at hotel, drive to Mahabalipuram and upon arrival visit the magnificent Shore Temple. Later proceed to Gandhi Memorial, Kala Kshetra and Mylapore Temple. Evening, return to Chennai and stay for the night at the hotel.
Day 03: Chennai - Tirupati – Chennai
Leave for another full day excursion after breakfast to the famous pilgrimage site of Tirupati that is largely visited as part of the temple tour to South India. Visit the majestic Lord Venkateswara Temple here and in the evening, head back to Chennai for another overnight stay.
Day 04: Chennai - Kanchipuram - Mamallapuram
South India Temple Experience Tour today takes you to Mamallapuram. Check out from hotel after breakfast and transfer to Mamallapuram by road. Stop midway at the beautiful temple city of Kanchipuram for sightseeing. Continue drive to Mamallapuram and transfer to hotel on arrival. After lunch, we take you to visit the popular shrines and exquisite rock carvings. Retire to the hotel for the night.
Day 05: Mamallapuram - Tiruvannamalai – Pondicherry
Pondicherry is the next destination in temple tour to South India. Check out from hotel after breakfast and transfer to Pondicherry by road. Stop midway at the popular pilgrimage site of Tiruvannamallai and visit the famous Lord Shiva Temple here. Continue drive to Pondicherry after lunch and check in to hotel on arrival for night stay.
Day 05: Pondicherry
Breakfast at hotel and then leave for a full-day sightseeing tour. Start with a visit to Aurbindo Ashram (10 km). Halt for lunch and then proceed to Auroville for a short visit. Stay for the night at the hotel.
Day 06: Pondicherry - Chidambaram – Tanjore
During your temple travel to South India, you would now proceed to Tanjore, another famous temple city of South India. Breakfast at hotel and then depart for Tanjore. Stop midway at Chidambaram for sightseeing at Nataraja Temple. Continue drive to Tanjore via the brass factory at Kumbakonam. Transfer to hotel on arrival for night stay.
Day 07: Tanjore - Trichy
After breakfast at hotel, visit the beautiful Chola Temple of Brideshwar at Tanjore. Later transfer by road to Trichy, the famous pilgrimage site in South India temple tours. Transfer to hotel on arrival. After lunch, leave for a half-day temple experience tour of Rock Fort Temple and Ranganath Temple at Srirangam. Return to the hotel for night stay.
Day 08: Trichy - Madurai
For the most true South India temple experience, we take you to the magnificent temple city of Madurai. Post breakfast check out from hotel and transfer to Madurai by road. Upon arrival, lunch at hotel and then leave for a visit to the exquisite Meenakshi Temple. Spend the night at the hotel.
Day 09: Madurai - Trivandrum
Trivandrum is the last stopover in South India Temple Tour Package. Depart for Trivandrum in the morning and transfer to hotel on arrival for overnight stay.
Day 10: Trivandrum – Kanyakumari – Trivandrum
We take you on a full day excursion after breakfast to Kanyakumari for an unforgettable temple experience in South India. Upon arrival, sightseeing at Vivekananda Rock Memorial and the majestic Amman Temples. Head back to Trivandrum in the evening and spend the night at the hotel.
Day 11: Trivandrum Departure
Your South India Temple Experience ends today. Have your breakfast at the hotel and then check out to proceed to the airport to board onward flight back home.
